Donations are used to fulfil the mission and vision of the organisation. This mainly means providing training for carefully selected personnel in developing countries to attend courses in the UK to help them to perform better in their jobs.
The Course Information Leaflet provides details of the course that is currently offered. However BOAT may run workshops in country as it did in Tanzania in 2008 and in Malawi in 2012. It has also organised and delivered courses to develop the vocational skills of trainers in subjects such as pig husbandry and farm mechanisation.
The funds are mainly used to pay for air fares and other travel and also accommodation and food. Much of the training is provided free by trustees, members of Bicton College and other professionals.
