Win a MF 35 Tractor in full working order.

Many of you will have seen a photograph of this Massey Ferguson 35 in a previous issue of Tractor & Machinery, when it was purchased at H J Pugh’s auction held for Patrick Edwards in September 2017.

The tractor, complete with V5C documentation, will be the first prize in a competition organised by Kelsey Media, publisher of this magazine.

The tractor will be attending several events through the summer, before the draw for the winning entry is made on Sunday 11 November at the Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage Show. The little red tractor had its public debut on 27-28 January on the Bicton Overseas Agricultural Trust (BOAT) stand at the Somerset Vintage & Classic Tractor Show and the next opportunity to enter the competition will be on 24-25 February at Tractor World Spring.

BOAT (www.boatagtrust.co.uk) is a registered charity (no.1017527) and has evolved since 1991 to provide training to lead trainers and extension workers in the developing world. It has enjoyed the support of Tractor & Machinery for the past 18 years. Its vision is to relieve poverty by improving livelihoods in the rural sector through training.

Bill Vellacott MBE and a Trust member told T&M: “The support we have received over the years from T&M and its readers has been fantastic and has helped support the training of many of our trainees on either the Institutional Management and Business Planning course, accredited by Plymouth University, held at Bicton College or our ‘in country’ training workshops. “These programs are designed to improve the quality of agricultural education and sustainable field service delivery to smallholders and emerging commercial farmers.

The success on the ground of this has led to 24 alumni working in Kenya wishing to form the ‘BOAT Kenya Chapter’ to further improve the management and sustainability of their training campuses as training hubs. This is a very exciting development, which will put further demands on our resources. “Once again, my sincere thanks go to Kelsey Media for the on-going support”.

The Massey Ferguson 35 is a four-cylinder model fitted with a Lambourn cab that will be on display at approximately 20 shows across this year (see the list opposite), providing many opportunities for you to enter the competition. Entries cost £2, but the number of entries is unlimited, with half of all proceeds going to BOAT. All you have to do is answer a simple question and you will be in with a chance of winning the tractor or the other prizes available.
